Piper and I had a great time at our local dog park

👋 If you’re new to this newsletter - Welcome!

What’s new from Coach Pri?

👋 Hey there,

Hope you had a fun St. Patrick’s Day yesterday! 🍀

We’re also just past Holi — the festival of colors — and this week NVIDIA GTC is bringing a different kind of energy to the tech world: AI innovation, bold ideas, and a glimpse into what the future might look like.(I plan to be there on Thursday, reply to this if you’ll be there too.)

🥳 In our Product-with-Pri client community, we’re celebrating something - one of our PM Level-Up clients in the current cohort just landed two offers from tech startups for Sr. PM roles in their niche 🎉 — always one of my favorite moments as a coach.

Lately I’ve also been deep in the rabbit hole of AI startup founder podcasts, and realizing that we are moving towards AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) faster than expected.

The user need is shifting - from “help me to my job” to “just do my job”, particularly for small businesses, founders and startups who are time-strapped.

💫 And I’ve been preparing for our upcoming AI PM community event on March 27th:
PM community meetup + AI Product Sense Masterclass (details below).👇

I’ve also been experimenting with AI agents for PM interview prep. A friend built some great prototypes for me in Lovable — tools that can review and critique your behavioral PM stories or act as your coach for case interview practice. And I’m starting to build a few myself using Replit + n8n.

If you’d like to be in the loop as these tools roll out — some free, some paid — just reply to this email with “AI PM agents.” I’ll make sure you’re among the first to know.

🧨 Something New:
I’m launching a monthly VIRTUAL community session (free) for AI Products - Demo what you’re building, or how you’re using AI tools, learn from each other and meet other “PM Builders”!
👉 If you’d like to get on the invite, reply to this with “AI Product Hub”.

🎊 And finally — enrollment is now open for the NEXT PM Level-Up cohort (Cohort 7 - April 13th - June 5th), and the best part, you can start right now!

This cohort will include a deeper focus on AI products, plus an optional “build a product” component where you’ll get hands-on experience applying these concepts.

We already have 2 spots taken, so 8 spots remain. If you’re curious, just reply to this email with “AI PM LevelUp.” More details are at the bottom of this email.

P.S. If this newsletter is helpful, please move it out of Promotions and into your primary inbox so you don’t miss future issues. I appreciate you. 💛

PM Insight of the Week

As I’ve been running more AI product sense mock interviews, a few patterns keep showing up.

Here are 3 common mistakes I see PMs make in AI product interviews:

  1. Jumping to the model too quickly
Strong candidates don’t start with model details. They start with the mission, business goal, North Star metric, and think through who the user is, what problem we’re solving, and why this product should exist.

  2. Only talking about product metrics or model metrics
AI PM interviews usually require both. You need to show you can measure customer value, business impact, and model performance.

  3. Forgetting to ask: what happens if AI gets it wrong?
Great AI PM answers consider failure modes, trust, edge cases, risks and safeguards.

The strongest candidates balance solid PM fundamentals with practical AI judgment.

🔥 Here’s a youtube video I created to help you with this topic (please give it a like and share if you find it useful)!

P.S. I’ll be going deeper into these mistakes, share a few more, and talk about how to avoid them, in my virtual Maven session, and in person PM Masterclass.

Ready to operate at the next level in 2026?

If this newsletter resonated — and you’re navigating bigger decisions, expectations, or career moves — here’s the best way to work with me right now.

An 8-week high-touch virtual coaching program for Senior to Director-level PMs, limited to 10 spots.

Next cohort - April 13th to June 5th (no cohort after that until August)!

Designed for experienced product leaders who want to:

  • Strengthen judgment and leadership presence

  • Build AI PM skills for real-world impact and interviews

  • Prepare for promotion, expanded scope, or a thoughtful next move

  • Structured coverage of topics - strategy, design, execution, metrics, leadership, behavioral & case interviews — with a senior-level lens, and with Gen AI context.

I’ve worked with 50+ Senior Product Leaders (Sr PM to Head of Product levels) at top tech companies across the U.S. (Amazon, Netflix, Stripe, Google, Meta, Adobe, Cisco, Apple, Nvidia, Intuit, Intel and more), and several high growth startups, who’ve expanded scope, moved to the next level, strengthened compensation, and — most importantly — built confidence in showing up as the leaders they want to be.

  1. Not ready to work with me yet ? I got you covered!

  • If you want a clearer view of your current strengths and growth areas, I’ve created a PM Skill Level Assessment Test (aka, an in-depth quiz 😉 ) used by experienced product leaders to assess where they are.

Whether it’s landing offers, stepping into bigger roles, or simply feeling more grounded and confident in how you think about products — especially in this fast-changing AI landscape — those moments never get old.

And more recently, it’s been exciting to see PMs not just prepare for interviews, but start to build, experiment, and engage with AI in a hands-on way — through mock interviews, portfolio projects, and even early product ideas.

Because the future isn’t just about knowing AI.
It’s about thinking, building, and leading with it.

If you’re on that journey right now — whether you’re exploring, preparing, or actively making a move — I’m here to support you.

Until next time 💙
Coach Pri
