Companies prep for re-skilling their workforce: During our in-person community event Nov 15th, I had shared with participants the need for re-skilling entire workforces as Gen. AI replaces many jobs or job duties - this was something we discussed as part of the roundtable I had led at Lennyâs Summit as well. And voila - before you know it - just a few days later - I saw Salesforce posted a role called âSr. Director of Re-skillingâ đ
If you have experience with re-skilling teams or adapting a team to work on another domain, or creating âflex teamsâ, consider applying to this newly minted role which will continue to take shape at many companies in 2025.Product leadership in 2025: During our event Nov 15th, we also talked about what product leaders will need to be ready for in 2025 and beyond. Thinking about what your superpowers are as a leader, and creating a plan to develop your under-developed leadership skills (your shadows đ ) will be key to your success.
For example - if âProduct strategyâ is your knight in shining armor right now, what happens if that goes away, and everyone is creating fantastic strategies with AI? If you were thinking of investing that learning budget, personal development will not be a bad area to consider, so you can build out your more âhumaneâ skills.

Starting with the big picture - When answering questionsâespecially case studiesâstart by aligning your answer with the company's mission, vision, and overall goals. This shows the interviewer that you're thinking strategically and focusing on what really matters to the business.
Taking the lead in HOW you clarify the objective of the case study or any other interview exercise - instead of asking the interviewer - make an educated guess and propose a few options to consider!
