Product Management News & Industry Trends

• Creatives vs AI: The debate is heating up on this topic, the latest being Mira Murti, CEO of open AI openly and not-humbly indicating that if creative folks lose their jobs due to AI, it is because they were not so good in the first place. If you’re a PM at, or build products for design companies such as at Adobe, Figma or others - you’d benefit from staying on top of this and being aware of how this evolves.

• Conference season: It is almost fall, which means conference season is here! The most prominent ones here in the SF bay area are the “Product-Led Summit” (Sept 4-5), and if you want to learn about the PMM (product marketing) world, you can check out the PMM leaders summit. And there’s a new one - Lenny’s Summit also to check out.

• What I wish was different? All of these conferences have the same rotating line-up of speakers, it feels that it’s a closed inner circle, and rarely do I see brand new speakers! PM is unfortunately not a very “open” community, and my bold mission is to work on making it so!
