• AI for PM Productivity: This topic is becoming more hot and important as we get into 2025. PMs will see increased pressure to automate tasks that do not require too much intervention, and do better at more strategic tasks.

• Sustainability and Ethical Products: This is a growing area in Product Management and will continue to see growth in 2025, particularly for products that cater to Gen Z, Millenials and even Gen Alpha. • Security & Compliance for Products: This is another growing area where you want to invest your time and energy to learn about and get caught up on, since no matter what product domain you are in, this will become part of your job.

PM Career Tips of the Week - Stay or Leave?

💥 Asking for a promotion vs looking for a new role
Time and time again, I see clients get confused or unclear on should they stay or should they leave. Here are some questions to ask yourself if this is something you’re struggling with:

1. Ask yourself - am I learning things here that will lead to my next role and keep my skills relevant for the next 3-5 years?

2. Realistically - what are my chances of getting promoted here in the next 6 months?

3. Look around - is this team and company growing in the right direction, or destined to become irrelevant in a few years?

4. Does the senior leadership team look like you? This is really important. If you are a diverse candidate, and your senior leadership team looks nothing like you, affinity bias will mean it will become much harder for you to get promoted.

5. If I get promoted (assume it), will I genuinely be happy in this team/company?

   If you answered “No” to one or more of these questions, it’s time to consider looking for an external role. The holidays are coming, and you deserve to feel happy and energized by your work!
